Smart has just revealed its most powerful model to date, and it’s a bold statement in electric performance. The new Smart #5 Brabus made its world debut as the brand’s flagship electric SUV, and it’s anything but ordinary.
This isn’t your typical city car; the #5 Brabus is built for speed and power. In fact, it outperforms the latest BMW M3, which says a lot about its capabilities.

Smart Returns With Power That Beats the BMW M3
Performance takes center stage in the Smart #5 Brabus. With up to 636 horsepower and all-wheel drive, this SUV rockets from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.8 seconds, thanks to Launch Mode.
Its 100-kWh battery powers the system, and with an 800-volt architecture, charging is lightning fast—10 percent to 80 percent in just 18 minutes on a compatible DC fast charger. On a full charge, it offers a range of up to 335 miles, according to WLTP estimates.
But the #5 Brabus isn’t just about raw numbers—it’s also packed with attitude. The design speaks volumes with bold 21-inch Monoblock Z wheels, striking red brake calipers, and sleek lines. Exclusive Brabus badges complete the look, making it clear this is a Smart SUV built to stand out.

Cutting-Edge Tech With a Premium Price Tag
The Smart #5 Brabus packs plenty of advanced tech, starting with twin 13-inch OLED displays, one of which is dedicated to the front passenger. The infotainment system is designed to be intuitive, and audiophiles will love the Sennheiser Signature Sound System, which boasts 20 speakers and over 2,000 watts of output. With Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 support, the sound experience rivals that of a high-end theater.
In Germany, the Smart #5 Brabus is priced at €60,900 (approximately $67,300). Orders will open on April 24, 2025, and broader European availability will roll out later in the year.
Sadly, the Smart #5 Brabus won’t see American roads, as the brand isn’t currently available in the US market. Smart exited the US market after the 2019 model year, with the electric ForTwo being the last model sold.
The decision was attributed to slow sales and the high cost of adapting the ForTwo for the US market. While Smart is no longer sold in the US, Mercedes-Benz USA still provides resources for existing owners.
